The 1965 Corvette Sting Ray was further cleaned up styling-wise and beefed up with the addition of an all-new brake system and larger power plants. Styling changes for 1965 were subtle, confined to a slicked-down hood now devoid of indentations, a trio of functional vertical exhaust vents in the front fenders that replaced the old non-functional horizontal "speedlines", wheel covers of restyled wheels and rocker mouldings, and minor interior trim revisions.
